The Giants have been slow out of the gate but the defense that played well in 2022 showed signs of a breakout against San Fran. They allowed 30 points but that doesn't tell the whole story. They were on the field for over 39 minutes in that game and played pretty well for the majority.

One of San Francisco's touchdowns came courtesy of a terrible roughing the passer call with 1:51 to go in the first half on 3rd and 12. They had another drive which saw them get stung by screens that SF converted on a 3rd and 15 and 3rd and 13. That's as much a defensive mistake but it's also a result of playing against an incredibly well coached and talented 49ers team. This was also in San Francisco, they'll be playing at home tonight.

Don Martindale is still the defensive coordinator. He held the same role last season and led some very good Baltimore Ravens defenses before joining NY. They have a very talented defensive line and should get Azeez Ojulari back this week. He's missed the last 2 games and has been sorely missed. He was the Giants best edge rusher in 2022 by a wide margin. There was also just an overall lack of effort last week. Too many uncharacteristic missed tackles by the Giants. This is a gut check moment for NY and we expect them to come out ready.

The Giants offense hasn't looked pretty but they'll get a weak Seattle defense here. The Seahawks haven't held a team below 27 points through 3 games and are allowing 407.3 yards per game. Both of which rank 29th in the NFL.

Their offensive struggles have also come against some of the better defenses in the NFL. Both SF and Dallas will finish this season inside the top 10 and potentially top 5 this season. The Giants did score 31 on an Arizona defense that's actually played well. Outside of the Giants game they held Washington to 20 points and Dallas to 16.

In a game everyone's predicting a Seattle Win, expect the Giants to show up at Home on Monday Night. You can say what you want about some of NY's Prime Time struggles but they're also up against Geno Smith. He's only won 0 Big Games throughout his career and is plenty familiar with blowing it at MetLife stadium.
