Won't go against Spencer Strider too often throughout his career but this is a high value play. He hasn't been nearly as dominant for some time now and Boston's bats are hot. Strider closed out the Month of June with a 5.46 ERA and has a 3.96 ERA in 4 July Starts. He surrendered 4 Runs to AZ last time out and 5 Runs to the CWS the start before. The D-Backs offense has been struggling a bit and the CWS are just plain bad.
Since the All-Star Break the Red Sox have scored 4+ Runs in all but 1 of their 11 games. They've scored 6 or more in 6 of those 11 as well. They rank 2nd with an .856 OPS since the Break. Over the last week (4 Games) they're hitting .333 with a .931 OPS. They also rake at home, ranking 3rd in OPS behind the Braves and Rangers.
Bryan Bello starts for BOS. He pitched phenomenally through May (2.67 ERA) and June (2.14 ERA). He's made 3 July Starts so far. The lone start going into the break he allowed 2 ER on 7IP. In the first start out of the break he allowed 3er on 6 IP. He did struggle in his most recent, allowing 6ER on 4IP. He's been great at Fenway 3.14 ERA across 9 starts. He's only allowed more than 3ER at Home once this season and it was his opening start of the year. He allowed 5ER on 2.2 IP. If you exclude that start he has a 2.35 ERA at Home.
The Braves offense hasn't been nearly as dominant recently either. Since the Break the Braves rank 11th in OPS and are 19th in BA. They've scored just 8 Runs in their last 3 games combined. In the last week they're hitting .227 (23rd) with a .727 OPS (18th).
