Jose Berrios has pitched very well in 2023. He has a 3.61 ERA and if you exclude his first two starts of the year, it's down to 2.53. He's allowed 2 ER or less in 9 of his last 11 starts. He also has a 2.4 Career ERA in 6 starts at Camden Yards. Used to be much more hitter friendly before pushing that left field wall back 30 feet.
Kyle Bradish has pitched extremely well at home for the Orioles. He had one Blunder against Boston in his first home start of 2023 but he's allowed just 2 ER in his last 3 home starts combined. That's over 19.1 innings pitched too. His most recent home start came against the # scoring offense in baseball, holding them to 1 Run on 4 Hits and 1 walk over 6.2 IP.
Both teams had the day off on Monday and yesterday's game was incredibly lopsided. All of the best bullpen arms are available and working on 2 days rest. These two bullpens rank 6th and 9th this season. They both have multiple high leverage and elite relievers at their disposal. In an absolutely stacked AL East these division games are as important now as they will be in a few months. As long as neither starter totally flops it's going to be tough to put together big innings tonight.
