Chase Anderson has pitched phenomenally for the Rockies. 2.67 ERA through 5 starts and COL is 3-2 in those 5. He faces a Red Sox lineup that's really struggling. They're averaging just 2.5 Runs per game through their last 10 and have scored more than 3 Runs just once during that span. They're 3-7 L10, 0-4 L4 Home Games, and 3-14 L17 interleague Home Games.
Kutter Crawford starts for BOS and he's really more of a long reliever. He has a 4.66 ERA at Fenway and a 6.6 ERA as a starter. He's made 2 starts in June, going 3 innings a piece, good for a 4.5 ERA. He is on enough rest this time to go deeper and has thrown as many as 94 pitches this year but that was on April 3rd. He hasn't thrown more than 60 in a single game since April 17th. The Red Sox bullpen is right around average with a 3.95 ERA. That bullpen did just cost them the game last night. Blowing a 1 run lead before eventually losing in the 10th.
8:10pm est: Nationals ML +215 (3 Units)
Corbin continues to pitch well. He's allowed 3 ER in back to back starts but all 6 of those Earned Runs have come in the 1st inning. Now he's come out himself and said he's going to change things around for the 1st. Will that translate to success, we'll see. But he is taking a different approach going into tonight and he's been stellar outside that 1st. He's also catching an Astros lineup that just lost Yordan Alverez.
He's just one of the best hitters in baseball and they only person on Houston with an OPS above .791. They're also hitting just .219 with a .612 OPS in their last 5 games. They've scored 2 or less runs in 5 of their last 8 games. Part of the reason they're just 1-5 overall in their last 6.
Hunter Brown starts vs the Astros. He has a 4.05 ERA at home and hasn't been great since April. He had a 4.78 ERA through MAY and a 4.5 ERA in 1 June start. He's failed to complete 5 innings in 3 of his last 7 starts too. Excluding 2 starts against the A's on May 20th and 26th, he has a 6.12 ERA since May.
The Nats have also had a lot of success against the Astros. They're 19-7 L26 meetings overall and most importantly, 13-3 L16 trips to Houston.
