Right back to the well tonight. These two combined for just 1 Run and 9 Hits in last night's game. Patrick Corbin starts for Washington and Grayson Rodriguez starts for Baltimore.
While Corbin's struggled at Home and against strong left handed hitting lineups, he's been sharp on the Road. Baltimore ranks 10th in OPS on the season and 10th in OPS vs LHP. They aren't some elite left handed hitting lineup like the Braves when we faded Corbin last week. Corbin's allowed 3ER or less in 7 of his last 9 road starts. He allowed 4 Runs over 5.2 IP against the Mets and 6 Runs over 5 IP against the Blue Jays in the two outliers.
He allowed just 1 Run over 6IP in his most recent road start and 2 ER over 6.2 IP in the road start before that. The Orioles offense has been struggling lately too. They're hitting .231 with a .669 OPS over the last 15 days and .235 with a .663 over the last 7. They continue to win games but it's been through pitching.
By now you should be plenty familiar with Grayson Rodriguez. He's been dominant since his 2nd call up. He hasn't allowed more than 3 ER in any of his last 11 starts and has a 1.39 ERA across 5 Home starts during that span. Baltimore got another gem with an 8 inning performance out of Bradish so this bullpen is still ready and rested.
