MLB (1 Pick)
FOLLOW THE UNIT INSTRUCTIONS
We're going to be taking it a bit slower than usual the final few weeks of the regular season here. We do this every year. With the expanded rosters and half these teams pretty much eliminated from contention it's a very unpredictable time of year. Once the MLB playoffs hit we'll be firing away just about everyday. Last season we made over 35 Units in the MLB playoffs alone.
It's been back and forth lately but a very successful season nonetheless. Those who have placed every MLPC wager this year are currently up 122.4 Units. At just $100 per Unit that's $12,240. As consistent as we've been all season, this is still sports betting. It's not always a smooth ride despite our success. There will be enough bases, MLB schedules the end of the year to be chaotic and meaningful. That's just about underway.
7:15pm est: TB/BAL Under 8 (3 Units)
This is the biggest series left on the MLB schedule. Baltimore has a 2 game lead over TB for the AL East and #1 overall seed in the American League. The Houston/Seattle series next week is a big one that may have the AL Central on the line but the East is going to have the #1 overall seed. This 4 game set starts off with two of their best starting pitchers.
Aaron Civale starts for TB. He was traded by Cleveland before the deadline and sports a 2.96 ERA across 20 starts this season. He's allowed more than 3ER just twice this entire season and it came against the same team. Just so happens the Mariners have his number. There are very few previous at bats against Civale for Baltimore despite Civale pitching in the AL his whole career. Civale hasn't made a start against BAL since 2021.
BAL rolls out breakout pitcher Kyle Bradish. His 3.03 ERA ranks 5th among qualified starters in the MLB and 3rd in the AL. If you exclude the Month of August and those first 4 starts that he struggled in, he has a 2.68 ERA. He also has a remarkable 2.26 ERA when pitching at home, the best in baseball. He's been as good and as consistent as any MLB pitcher this season. He's faced TB twice already this season and held them to 2ER in each outing.
BAL has the 2nd best bullpen ERA in baseball and TB isn't too far behind at 10th. The Rays bullpen also had an abysmal start to the year and have since returned to their dominant ways of seasons past. Both Pens have multiple Elite Arms. This is by all accounts a playoff series and they won't hold back on their bullpen.
