Michigan scored 92 and 99 in their first two games this season while St. Johns scored 90. Those were inferior teams but Michigan still allowed 62, 74, and St. John's 74. The Wolverines defense has finished in the bottom 20th percentaile in the pick and roll defense and it's something Guard Daniss Jenkins excels at. Jenkins followed HC Rick Pitino from Iona and scored 17 in their season debut. St. John also has the coaching advantage. Pitino plays up tempo and his teams going to shoot plenty of 3's. He also brings pressure on the defensive side which speeds the game up. St. Johns gave up 12 offensive rebounds to Stony Brook. Michigan is bigger better and faster. Second chances will be there to help push this total over. St. John won't likely shoot 50% from deep like they did in their season opener but these teams can score on 1 another. If St. John's dictates the flow of this game it could very well fly over.
