This Central Michigan offense is coming off a couple decent games but they're failed to score 20 points in half their games this season and are up against a very good Ohio defense. Ohio is 7-3 simply because of their defense. They're limiting teams to just 267.6 total yards per game and 15.1 points per game, both of which rank 1st in the MAC. Only 2 teams have scored more than 20 points on this Ohio defense all season and it was when Northern Illinois scored 23 at Home after 3 Ohio turnovers and when the 2nd ranked MAC scoring offense scored 30.
Central Michigan is far from a potent offense. And as good as the Ohio defense is, their offense is plain bad. They average just 21.6 points per game and are tied for 97th among FBS programs scoring on just 77.42% of their red zone trips. The Central Michigan defense isn't good but they were able to hold Akron and Ball State to a combined 34 points. Two similarly terrible offenses. Field position will come at a premium, should see conservative play calls as the offenses struggle to move the ball.
