It took 7 games for both teams to advance to Round 2 of the playoffs. However, the Stars were more impressive, beating the better team with a better overall performance. The Stars allowed fewer goals than the Jets and had one of the best special teams in Round 1. They were also without one of their best players, LW Jason Robertson, who leads the team in goals and is second in assists and points. He is a game-time decision tonight, and if he is back, he will bring a major boost to their team. As for the Jets, they picked up a few new injuries in Round 1, with all three players listed day-to-day: Star C Mark Scheifele, star D Josh Morrissey, and D Logan Stanley. Missing Scheifele and/or Morrissey will hurt the Jets greatly against a tougher opponent. G Connor Hellebuyck has been horrible so far, and it doesn't look like he will be back to his regular-season self anytime soon. Back the Stars to get the win in Game 1.
