The Flames travel to Vancouver to take on the Canucks to open their seasons. The Flames didn't have an exciting offseason, Markstrom and Mangiapane are gone, and they added Ryan Lomberg and Anthony Mantha. These moves further cement their rebuild and it won't be a fun season for their fans. As for the Canucks they lost backup goalie DeSmith and trade deadline acquisitions Lindhold and Zadorov, but brought in Jake Debrusk, Danton Heinen, Derek Forbort, and Daniel Sprong. These additions will bolster their offense, adding great depth to their team. Expect the Canucks high powered offense to overwhelm the Flames, starting their season with a comfortable win at home.
