Martin Perez was an absolute Stud in 2022 and he shows no signs of slowing down. 2.25 era through spring and hasn’t allowed more than 1 ER in any appearance. He made two starts against the Phillies last year and didn’t allow a run in either start. The Rangers offense isn’t getting the respect it deserves early on. They quietly formed one of the deeper line-ups in the American League. LF is really their 1 weak spot. They dropped 11 runs on the Phillies on Opening Day despite PHI trying to protect a lead and then hit PHI with 16 runs on 17 hits yesterday. They had a hit on each and every one of the Phillies pitchers in yesterday’s game. PHI Starter Bailey Falter has a career 4.36 era and has made just 17 career starts. He owns a 4.5 era through spring and his final dress rehearsal went very poorly. Against TOR’s top bats, 4 hits, 3 walks, and 4 ER in just 1.2 IP. Batters hit .297 vs Falter through spring, and he had a WHIP (Walks/Hits per inning pitched) of 1.56. Rangers should really be -140/-150 but the public will bet the well known Phillies anyway. Great value on this game.
