Moneyline: Phillies -110 / Marlins -110

Runline: Phillies -1.5 (+150) / Marlins +1.5 (-180)

Total: Over/Under 8

The Marlins took the first two games of this 4-game series bringing them to a 3-4 record. The Phillies were off to a nice start this season at 3-1 but have since dropped 4 straight and are now 3-5. The Phillies look to stop the bleeding and the Marlins look to secure their first series win tonight.

Ranger Suarez will start for Philadelphia in this one. His first start of the year wasn’t great, he went just 2.2 IP allowing 5 hits and 3 ER. All the damage was done off 4 Mets singles in the top of the 1st. Suarez made 2 starts against Miami last season and he blanked them twice. Both starts were in Miami too, he went 5 IP of no run ball in his first start and 7 IP of no run ball in his 2nd.

24-year-old Trevor Rogers starts for the Marlins. He’s coming off a breakout season in 2021 that saw him pitch to a 2.64 era across 24 starts. He was solid in his debut, allowing 2 ER in 5 IP in San Francisco. Trevor Rogers was able to quiet the Phillies offense in all 4 starts against them last year. He went a combined 22.2 IP allowing just 6 ER.

Both pitchers have had success against the opposing line-ups and neither team is playing great offensively. Phillies are still waiting on production from Bryce Harper and FA signing Kyle Schwarber. The Marlins just feature one of the worst line-ups in all of baseball.
