The Buckeyes have lost 8 straight games but are still laying points to the Nittany Lions. As bad as they’ve been, they play tough at home. Getting 8 of their 11 total wins at home. Besides the MSU game where they couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn, they’ve either won or lost by less than 6 in every home game this year. Playing tough against much better competition than Penn State. The Lions are just 2-7 on the road this year and lost 6 straight road games prior to beating a 7-17 Minnesota team by 7 last time out. Despite a “hopeless” season you’ll get a motivated Ohio State team too. For one, this is a huge rivalry. Everybody on campus wants OSU to beat Penn State. Two, HC Chris Holtmann has gone younger, giving hungry guys minutes. Three, Penn State is a tournament hopeful after a couple wins, the Buckeyes can take that away. Like the UConn blowout winner last night, back the strong home team in a hostile environment. Ohio State has beaten Penn St in 4 straight home games, they make it 5.
