Dallas has one of the most dangerous passing attacks in football right now, and CeeDee Lamb is the engine behind it. The Cowboys rank second in the NFL in scoring and top five in EPA per pass, and Dak Prescott has thrown for at least 266 yards in three straight games. Lamb has drawn eight or more targets every week and is coming off a monster night at Houston, where he caught 17 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown against one of the toughest defenses Dallas will see all year. Over the last three games, he's hauled in 8, 7, and 17 receptions.
On paper, Tampa Bay's pass defense looks respectable, ranking ninth in passing yards allowed. But that number was built against Cincinnati, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Green Bay, and none of those offenses has matched what Dallas is doing this season. The Bucs will also be short-handed in the back end. Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (ribs) and cornerback Benjamin Morrison (quad) are both out, removing two starters from the secondary on the same night they face an offense averaging more than 30 points per game.
The game script points Dallas toward the air, too. Tampa Bay is stout against the run, allowing just 3.2 yards per carry, the second-best mark in the league, while the Cowboys average only 3.8 yards per rush. With a wall up front and a soft spot in the secondary, Dallas has every reason to keep feeding its top target.
