Atlanta Falcons: Bijan Robinson Under 1,100.5 Rushing Yards.
Bijan will lead this backfield, but it's a crowded one. Tyler Allgeier ran for 1,035 rushing yards on 4.9 YPC for the Falcons last year and Cordarrelle Patterson ran for 695 on 4.8 YPC. Those two are still wearing a Falcons uniform this season. Allgeier will be the #2 and Patterson will resort back to more of a utility role. Regardless they're both going to see touches on a weekly basis. Bijan's also in for plenty of work in the passing game. The Falcons staff has openly admitted to it and given him numerous receiving reps in camp.
There's always the health factor at play for running backs. He's missed time in each of his last two collegiate seasons. It's also big leap going from the College Ranks to the NFL. It's a 12 game schedule in college and some teams get multiple bye weeks. There's also the games against inferior talent where guys like Bijan get pulled halfway through a blowout. You also aren't being tackled by the biggest and fastest athletes on earth.
He's struggled to stay healthy in College and it only gets harder in the NFL. They may also opt to protect Bijan this season. He was the 8th overall pick and the Falcons will not be competing for a Superbowl this year. They have Desmond Ridder starting at QB. He threw 115 passes as a rookie last year. Their defense also ranked 21st in points allowed per game in 2022. They could find themselves playing meaningless games much earlier then they'd like and if that's the case, Bijan should see a reduced workload.
Carolina Panthers: Adam Thielen Over 525.5 Receiving Yards.
First and foremost, this has been Bryce Young's go to guy all training camp. He threw his first NFL pass to Thielen in pre-season week 1. He's also the most decorated and experienced WR on the roster. He's gone over this yardage total in all but 1 season since he's been a starter and it was due to injury. He may not be the same athlete he was a few years ago but that's not how he made his money.
He's an elite route runner with a great feel for open space in between zones. He was still productive last season, reeling in 70 catches for 716 yards. He just took a back seat to Justin Jefferson the past couple of years. Rookie QB Bryce Young will lean on Thielen as he finds his bearings in the NFL. There's not much competition in the WR room either. Journeyman DJ Chark and Rookie Jonathon Mingo are the next best WR's. Terrance Marshall, who CAR drafted in the 2nd round in 2021, was just carted off the practice field with a back injury too.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Rachaad White Over 625.5 Rushing Yards.
TB moving on from Byron Leftwich was a good thing. He was the OC and play-caller when TB won a Superbowl but then HC Bruce Arians was still there. Arians has long been heralded for his offensive prowess and it's not surprising the TB offense struggled when he left. The TB offensive line was also riddled with injuries last season.
White's the #1 RB for the Buccs and there isn't another RB on this roster that will push him out of that role. Despite an absolutely terrible rushing attack last season, Fournette ran for 668 yards and White 481. Fournette is no longer with the team. TB is also healthy and deeper up front. Wirfs is one of the best Tackles in the NFL, Pro-Bowl center Ryan Jensen is back, they drafted Cody Mauch in the 2nd round to play G, and Luke Goedeke enters year two after being drafted in the 2nd round last year. And even if they still suck White can get this on Volume alone.
New Orleans Saints: Derek Carr Over 3,600.5 Passing Yards.
The Andy Dalton, Jameis Winston, and Taysom Hill revolving door at QB combined to throw 3,969 passing yards for the Saints last season. Carr threw for 3,522 for the Raiders last year despite not playing 2 games. Michael Thomas and Olave easily form the best WR room Carr's ever had to work with. He'll also have Alvin Kamara to throw to out of the backfield when his 3 game suspensions up.
The Saints also boast a strong Offensive line. From LG to RT their set with above average starters when healthy. Trevor Penning gets the nod at LT. He was drafted out of Iowa in the first round in 2022 but like the rest of the Saints OL, got injured last season. He can elevate this offensive line to elite territory. Regardless the veteran James Hurt could fill that role if need be like last year. This Saints offense has nowhere to go but up.
