Verlander is making his 2nd start of 2023 after recovering from injury. His first could have been much much worse. He was fortunate to only give up 2 ER in 5 IP against the Tigers. He allowed 10 hard hit balls, 71.4% of batted balls. Terrible numbers. Great American Ball Park being the most hitter friendly park in the Bigs will make you pay for hard contact. He’s made two career starts at Cinci, pitching to a 4.15 ERA. He’s 40 years old and coming back from an injury.
Hunter Greene starts for CIN. He’s allowed more than 3 ER in just 1 start this season. Offensively the Reds are hitting .269 and slugging .500 in the last week. They’re much stronger at home, hitting .254 with a .753 OPS compared to .238 and .632 OPS on the road. Reds are 5-2 in their last 7 home games and the Mets are 0-6 in their L6 road games.
