He has great numbers vs Toronto’s starter Chris Bassitt. He’s 7 for 17, two 2B and 1 HR. Bassitt is also on the struggle bus. He pitched to a 5.74 era in spring and got lit up in his first start of 2022, allowing 10 hits, 9 ER, and 4 Homeruns in just 3.1 IP. This is a guy with a career 3.55 era that Trout has great numbers against. If he isn’t sharp, Trout may get this in his first at bat.
