The Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles meet Thursday night for the final game of a 4 game set. The Twins took the first two games but the Orioles won last night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM eastern time at Camden yards.
Chris Archer takes the mound for the Twins. Once an Ace that would throw 200 innings a year for the Rays he just threw over 75 pitches in a game for the first time since 2019. He threw 79 pitches allowing just 1 ER in his previous start against the Rays. He hasn’t gone deeper than 4.1IP in any outing this year but he hasn’t allowed more than 2ER in any start either.
Spenser Watkins starts for the Orioles. The right hander had a rookie campaign to forget in 2021 but he’s off to an impressive start in 2022, pitching to an era of 2.55 across 4 starts. He’s allowed 1 ER in 3 of his 4 starts and allowed 2ER in the 4th. He hasn’t gone more than 5 Innings in any start.
The Twins offense has been okay as of late but the Orioles feature one of the worst line-ups in baseball. Both starters have had success but they just fail to go deep in the game.
