7:05PM EST: TOR/NYY Under 7.5 (4 Units).
Toronto's hitting .167 (29th) with a .556 OPS (27th) while New York's hitting .210 (20th) with a .549 OPS (29th) over the last week. TOR is 20th and NYY 27th in xwOBA so far this season. Neither offense has been very good. TOR SP Kevin Gausman is one of the best in baseball and he's been an absolute road warrior, pitching to a 2.74 ERA in 31 road starts since joining the Blue Jays. He has a 3.01 career ERA vs the Yankees and a career 2.98 ERA at Yankees stadium. NYY starter Clarke Schmidt is solid and allowed 3 ER over 5.1 IP in his debut. He allowed more than 4 ER in 3 starts last year, 2 of which came on the road. He should keep a lid on things before passing it off to an Elite Yankees bullpen that has a 2.01 ERA. Cold weather in NY should help keep the sluggers in the ballpark.
7:05 PM EST: Astros Moneyline -110 (2 Units).
Houston's pitching and specifically their bullpen has been poor to start the season. They aren't very and they have quality arms that haven't produced. HOU SP JP France was solid in his 2024 debut, allowing 3ER over 5.1IP vs the Yankees. He pitched to a 3.11 road ERA in 2023. We like the Astros bats in this one today. They were Red Hot before being stymied by Texas young Lefty but still have an OPS above .900 over the last week and the 6th ranked offense this season. TEX SP Jon Gray allowed 5 Runs on 7 hits and 3 walks at Home in his 2024 debut. He's really struggled at Home last year posting a 4.78 ERA in 15 Home starts. Gray also made 3 starts against Houston last year. He was pulled early in his first start allowing 1 run over 2 innings. He gave up 5 and 6 runs in the next 2 though. The Astros top relievers are available today and they're bound to lock in sooner rather than later.
8:10PM EST: Rockies ML +125 (2 Units). If you couldn't get the Rockies series Winner bet in from, yesterday put 3 Units on this game.
Riding these Rockies bats. Colorado nearly blew the game yesterday and that should help them the rest of this series. The Rays bullpen has been atrocious, and they rolled out their high leverage guys yesterday in an attempt to close the 9th but came up short anyway. Tyler Alexander has long been a relief arm and is making just his 2nd start in as many seasons. He has a career 4.7 ERA as a starter. He gave up 5 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in his 2024 debut. He allowed a .333 opponent BA and 1.44 WHIP in spring. He's made 1 career appearance at Coors field which came last season and allowed 3 Runs on 3 Hits in 1.1 IP. TB's bullpen gave up 9 runs yesterday over 3.1 IP. Rockies starter Ryan Feltner allowed 3ER on 5IP in his debut and was very sharp in his 3 final spring appearances. He should be serviceable enough to allow the Rockies bats to go to work.
