3:07PM EST: Blue Jays ML +120 (4 Units). The Dodgers offense has been feast or famine lately and they feasted on inferior Blue Jays pitching yesterday. TOR SP Chris Bassitt got blasted for 7 runs early and the bottom of the Jays bullpen pitched the rest of the way. The high leverage Toronto arms are fresh and rested to backup Kikuchi. Kikuchi's been lights out all season, pitching to a 2.28 ERA across 5 starts. He has a 1.54 ERA in 4 April starts without allowing more than 2 runs in any. He gets his toughest test with this Dodgers lineup but they're not as good against Lefties. They have an .801 OPS on the season, an .827 OPS vs RHP, but a .748 OPS vs LHP. The Left-Hander Patrick Corbin just pitched 5.1 shutout innings against them and he's arguably the worst starting pitcher of the last 4 years. Tyler Glasnow starts for the Dodgers. He's one of the best in baseball but like LA's offense, he's been inconsistent. He pitched 8 shutout innings against the Mets his last time out. The start prior he surrendered 6 runs in 5 innings of work at Home against Washington. He was coming off 7 shutout innings against the Twins with 14K's going into the start. Before Minnesota he tossed he allowed 3 runs to SF over 6 innings. It's been a theme throughout his career and he tends to walk a bunch of batters when he's off. He also pitched in the AL East for 6 years leading up to becoming a Dodger. As a member of the Rays he's faced these Blue Jays plenty. With Kikuchi on the mound and the high leverage arms ready behind them the Blue Jays are in a great spot to take game 2 of this series. Catching them +odds at Home is great value regardless of who they're playing. The Dodgers are 17-11 with a .607 win % and lose like everyone else. 6:05PM EST: Rockies ML +185 (4 Units).
2 Game Mexico City series. This is played at 7,349 FT above Sea Level which is over 2K Feet higher than Coors Field. As a result, balls fly off the bat and the Over/Under is set at 16.5. There were 37 Runs scored in the 2 games played there between San Diego and San Fran last year. Rockies have the advantage of being accustomed to playing at high altitude. Their last 7 games were played at Home too so they're in the flow of it.
Houston SP Ronel Blanco has surrendered 2 Runs on 5 Hits and 3 Walks across 6IP in each of his last 2 starts. COL SP Cal Quantrill pitched 6 shutout innings his last time out and allowed 1 run over 6IP the start prior. The Astros offense has been ice cold, scoring just 6 total runs over their last 4 games. They have a league worst .479 OPS over the last week. The Rockies rank 11th with a .710 OPS.
The Rockies bullpen has pitched much better after a terrible start to the year. Their Pen ranks 23rd in ERA while the Astros bullpen ranks 27th. COL's top performing bullpen arms: Beeks, Bird, and Lawrence, haven't allowed an ER in nearly 3 weeks. Both teams got the day off yesterday, so the bullpens are fresh.
