TOR SP Yusei Kikuchi has been elite to start the year. After allowing 3ER over 4.1 IP in his season debut against Tampa he's allowed just 2 combined runs over his last 3 starts (17.1 IP). Surrendering just 11 hits and walking 5 (.92 WHIP) while striking out 25 batters. The Royals offense has cooled off considerably hitting just .209 with a .645 OPS over their last 5 games. They've also been worse against Lefties with a .682 OPS on the season compared to .712 vs RHP. The Orioles LHP Cole Irvin just threw 6.2 shutout innings against them in their most recent start, and he went into that start with a 6.75 ERA.

Brady Singer starts for the Royals, and he's been great to start the season with the addition of that 4-Seam fastball. That scouting report's out now and he labored in his most recent start against the White Sox. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, 3 walks, and 6 Hard-Hit balls but threw 93 pitches in just 5 innings. That's against a White Sox offense that's truly atrocious, ranking dead last in every major category and averaging just 2.14 runs per game. The As are 29th at 2.85 and the Twins 28th at 3.35 for reference. Singer's xERA is at 3.89 compared to his actual ERA of 1.54 and it's because he's starting to get hit hard and in the air. Toronto's offense has been solid this past week, hitting .255 with a .749 OPS with 6 Homeruns. Solid hitting conditions with decent temps and near 20MPH Winds blowing out today. Singer will get punished if he pitches like he did against the Sox.

Toronto's owned KC winning 9 of their last 10 meetings too. They also got reliver Erik Swanson and closer Jordan Romano back last week. Romano was one of the best closers in baseball last year and picked up where he left off going 2 for 2 in save opportunities. Much needed bullpen reinforcements.

7:45PM EST: Diamondbacks ML -105 (3 Units).

The Diamondbacks post-season stud from a season ago has battled consistency issues. Allowing 1 and 2 earned runs in 2 of his 4 starts and 5 and 6 in his other. He's coming off a 7 inning 2ER performance against a Cubs offense that's swinging the bat well. He has a 5.32 ERA but a 3.62 xERA. His Hard-Hit % is only 34.2% and his BB/9 is 1.14. Better days are ahead, and he catches a Cardinals offense that's ice cold hitting .173 with a .512 OPS over their last 5 games. They've scored just 5 runs over that span and were shutout and scored 1 run in 2 of their last 3. Their last 3 games were also played at Home.

Lance Lynn starts for the Cardinals. The 36-year-old had a 5.73 ERA in 2023 but is off to a solid start in 2024 with a 2.18 ERA through 4 starts. He has a .52 GO/AO ration, a 45.5% Hard-Hit% and a 4.67 xERA because of it. He gave up a league worst 44 Homeruns last season and surrendered 3 in the 1 start he struggled in against Miami. The Diamondbacks offense has been producing and throwing up some crooked numbers, scoring 17 on the Giants and 12 against Chicago over the last week. Good temps and strong winds blowing out in this game as well. Lynn's poised to lose a few over the wall tonight.
