2:15pm est: Blue Jays ML -130 (3 Units).
Unfortunately for Jack Flaherty what looked like a very promising career has been derailed by injury. He pitched to a 2.75 era across 33 starts in 2019, since then he’s made just 32 starts in the last 3 years. He made 8 starts last year, 4.25 era. He’s struggling in spring, 6.41 era across 19.2 IP. Gave up 6ER in 3.2 IP in his final dress rehearsal. TOR Starter Kevin Gausman pitching great. Hasn’t given up a run in 4 starts this spring. Batters hitting just .170, averaging nearly 1.5K’s per IP. He also shutout the Cards in STL last year. TOR’s bats ripped through every STL pitcher on opening day too.
2:20pm est: Cubs ML +105 (3 Units), Under 6.5 (2 Units).
Remember the name Justin Steele. He’s a rising stud that we’ll be backing frequently. He had a .98 era in 7 post all-star break starts in 2022. He had a 3.18 era last season, 2.78 when pitching at home. He made 6 starts vs MIL last year, 2.03 Era, they hit .198 with a .560 OPS. MIL starter Brandon Woodruff has a 4.6 era in spring. Giving up 8 ER in his final 2 starts. In his opening day start @ CHC last year, surrendered 7 ER in just 3.2 IP. New baseball guys, the Wind is a huge deal at Wrigley field. Winds blowing in today at around 20mph. Temps also below 40° today. Going to be very hard to leave the ball-park. Two sub-par line-ups will have to string plenty of hits together to score runs.
4:05pm est: Nationals ML +215 (2 Units).
Josiah Gray is the definition of inconsistent. When he’s on, he’s on though. The Braves bring out the best in him, allowing just 1 ER in 11IP across 2 starts last year. And as good as Strider is, he struggles against the Nats. He gave up 7 ER in his 2 starts vs the Nationals last year. The Nationals lost 7-2 to ATL on opening day but their bats were live. They just went 1 for 11 with RISP. As good as the Braves are they just jumped on Corbin (One of MLB’s worst) early. They have a history of crushing Corbin too. Nats bullpen went 6 IP, giving up just 5 hits and 2 ER. Good Value on the Nats here.
