We bet to risk on Underdogs. For example we're betting 3 Units on the Cardinals Moneyline to win 6 Units today. We bet to win on Favorites. If it's a 3 Unit Bet -200 you would have to risk 6 Units to win 3.
We're betting on the value in baseball. Most of our plays will be on the + side of things and hitting 50% will makes us a ton of money. Follow the units
4:10PM EST: Nationals ML +130 (3 Units)
Josiah Gray really came onto the scene last year pitching to a 3.91 ERA across 30 starts and 159 IP. The once highly touted prospect has the stuff to be a truly elite starter when his command is there. He had a 2.97 ERA in his 18 road starts last year, allowing 2ER or less in 13 of them. Washington's on the road today. The Nationals bullpen isn't as bad as it was last year either. They have a nice setup/closer from a season ago, but they added a couple veteran pieces than can help bridge it to them.
Frankie Montas takes the bump for the Reds. He was a member of the Yankees in 2023 and made just 1 start that lasted 1.1 innings. His last actual start came on September 16th, 2022. He's been solid throughout his career pitching to a 3.90 ERA across 130 appearances, but it's been a long time since he's had to pitch a full game. He didn't throw more than 37 pitches in any of his spring starts either. The Reds have one of the best closers in baseball, but the meat of their bullpen is questionable.
4:10PM EST: Cardinals ML +200 (3 Units)
Not going to go against the Juggernaut that is the LA Dodgers very often but it's Tyler Glasnow's first career Home start for Dodgers and it's in their Home Opener. He did have the luxury of making 1 start against SD in the Korea series a week ago, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits and 4 walks over 5 innings. He also had just 3 strikeouts which is low considering he has 683K's in 534.2 career Innings Pitched. It takes time for guys to get into the groove and stretch out. He was clearly not his usual dominant self in his first start. He'll be feeling some pressure to deliver today as one of LA's many big FA signings. The Cardinals lineup is plenty good enough to knock Glasnow around should he be off.
Miles Mikolas starts for the Cardinals and he's coming off an inconsistent year last year. Throwing some absolute Gems along with some absolute garbage outings. He's been a quality starter for STL since rejoining STL and even in a down year threw plenty of gems. STL has plenty of capable bullpen arms to throw should they find themselves in a position to steal Game 1 of this series.
With the season just starting there's so many variables in baseball. Some teams start out hotter than others and even the best pitchers will struggle out the gates. Same thing happens after the All-Star Break. The Dodgers also had to play 2 actual games in Korea and then come back for more spring training games to then open the season up again today.
