3 Picks (9 Units).
6:40PM EST: Reds/Pirates Under 7.5 (3 Units).
LP: C. Burns (CIN) / M. Keller (PIT).
Rookie Chase Burns has started to find his footing in the MLB. His last start was cut short from rain, so he'll be feeling fresh here today. He recorded double digit strikeouts in each of his last 3 full starts. The Pirates offense had an explosive series in Colorado, but they've scored 15 combined runs in 4 games since. PIT SP Mitch Keller has struggled in his last 2 starts but this is a prime rebound spot. He was on the road in his last two @ COL and @ SF. He labored in SF and this time of the year most pitchers struggle at Colorado. He was on fire prior to his SF start and he's allowed 3 Runs or less in 18 of his 23 starts this year. The Reds have scored just 11 runs over their last 5 games.
7:40PM EST: White Sox ML +125 (3 Units).
LP. T. Bibee (CLE) / A. Civale (CWS).
Tanner Bibee has allowed 3 runs or more in 7 of his last 8 starts. He's allowed 4 or more in 3 straight and 5 of his last 6. The Guardians have struggled with closing games since losing Closer Emmanuel Clase to the gambling probe. CLE relievers not named Clase are 4 for 7 in Save Situations since the Break. CWS SP Aaron Civale hasn't allowed an earned run in 3 straight starts. He's allowed just 7 hits and 3 walks in his last 3 starts combined. Chicago's top performing relievers are available.
10:10PM EST: Blue Jays ML +120 (3 Units).
LP: M. Scherzer (TOR) / C. Kershaw (LAD).
Scherzer's looked like his old self in his last two starts, allowing 4 ER on 13 IP while striking out 16. He allowed 1 run on 84 pitches in his most recent start vs KC. He's also dominated this current Dodgers roster, limiting them to a .212 xBA and .311 wOBA on 196 career plate appearances. Kershaw turned in a good start at TB his last time out, but he's battled consistency issues the last Month and a Half. He posted a 4.74 ERA in July but allowed a .310 opponent BA and 1.48 WHIP. The current Blue Jays roster has a .275 xBA and .371 xwOBA in 36 career plate appearances vs Kershaw. The Blue Jays offense got rolling in Colorado, scoring double digits and 45 total runs in their 3-game set.
