Hunter Brown's allowed 1 run in 3 of his last 4 starts and 2 runs in the outlier. In 86 career plate appearances vs Brown the Tigers roster has a .196 xBA and .365 xwOBA. Brown has a career 2.93 ERA in 5 games against Detroit. He saw them twice last season and allowed just 1 ER on 12 IP. Tarik Skubal has been human of late, posting a 4.82 ERA in 3 August starts. He's allowed at least 3 runs in all 3 starts. Houston's one of the best teams vs LHP, ranking 3rd in OPS.

McGreevy has a 3.5 ERA in 3 August Starts. He has a 3.0 ERA in 3 road starts this year. He fell victim to some early soft contact in his most recent road start at SD, but settled in and allowed 4 runs on 6 IP. He tossed 7 innings of 1 run ball at Colorado the road start before that. No Marlins batter has seen McGreevy before. Edward Cabrera had allowed 2 runs or less in 12 of his last 13 starts before giving up 5 runs @ CLE his last time out. The first 3 batters he faced went on to score before he would settle in. Got blitzed early, it happens to guys. We like him to be sharp at Home today where he has a 2.86 ERA in 11 starts. Cabrera's held the current Cardinals roster to a .177 xBA and .259 xwOBA in 32 career plate appearances.

Jacob Lopez has yet to allow a run in August. Through 3 starts he has an opponent BA of .176 and a .71 WHIP. He's pitched 7, and 7.2 innings in his last two starts. The Twins are 27th in OPS over the last week. They're 17th in OPS vs LHP at .685 on the season. Minnesota has just 12 career plate appearances against Lopez as well. MIN SP Joe Ryan has been sharp, but he's been worse at Home this year. The Athletics tagged him for 4 runs earlier this year and have a .266 xBA and .392 xwOBA in 37 career plate appearances against him.
