2 Picks.
6:40PM EST: Phillies 1st inning (3 Way) ML +185 (1 Unit).
3 Way Bet! This is a loser if the first inning ends tied, not a push.
WSH SP Patrick Corbin has a 7.62 ERA since the break. The Phillies top bats have finally turned it back on and they mash LHP, especially Patrick Corbin. Against Corbin PHI Leadoff hitter Kyle Schwarber has a .333 BA and 1.145 OPS in 18 At Bats, Bryce Harper has a .326 BA/.873 OPS in 43 ABs and a 1.154 OPS over his last 7 games, and Alec Bohm has a .360 BA and 1.149 OPS in 24 at bats. Trea's actually struggled vs Corbin with just 10 at bats but he has an .895 OPS vs LHP this season and coming off a 3-Hit Game. The Nationals offense has a .173 BA in 78 career plate appearances against PHI SP Aaron Nola. The runline’ is a bit too expensive for us to play the full game and the Nationals are pretty much forced to use their best relievers today. With Philly running hot we like the value here.
8:40PM: Rockies First 5 ML +120 (3 Units).
SD SP Matt Waldron is a Knuckleballer and 90°+ weather at Coors Field is not the Venue for it. He just went into Miami and got hammered for 5 runs over 4.1 IP. The Hot Weather isn't ideal for the Knuckleball but the elevation at Coors is the cherry on top. The thinner air provides less resistance on the Knuckleball and causes less movement. The thin air is why the ball carries at Coors Field like no other ballpark in baseball. Colorado's offense wasn't terrible on the road @ Arizona but they scored 23 runs in their most recent 3 game set at Home. COL SP Cal Quantrill has struggled on the road of late, but he still has yet to allow more than 3 runs in a start at Home. Once these two come out it's the best bullpen in baseball against the worst.
