6:40PM EST: BAL/CLE Under 9.5 -120 (4 Units).
The recently acquired Trevor Rogers makes his Baltimore debut. He posted a 3.38 ERA in 5 July starts without allowing more than 2ER in any of them. Cleveland was top 5 in OPS vs LHP through the first few Months of the season but they've really struggled against them of late, falling down to 10th. They ranked 28th in OPS in the Month of July. They're 22nd in OPS over the last week. There's only a few Guardians bats producing at the moment. CLE SP Ben Lively has a 3.44 ERA this season and a 2.66 ERA at Home. He's allowed 3ER or less in 16 of his 18 starts this year. Baltimore's offense did just steamroll some very subpar Toronto pitching but that's because they just sold half their team. Baltimore in for a bit of a rude awakening here against Cleveland.
The Guardians starting rotation has had its ups and down but their bullpen ranks 1st with a 2.47 ERA. The next closest is Atlanta with a 2.97. Cleveland had off yesterday, and no reliever has thrown more than once in the last 3 days. Baltimore went ahead and bolstered their bullpen via Trade and they're fresh after beating up on Toronto. These two are 1st and 2nd in playoff seeding with the same number of wins and Cleveland 2 less loses. These are essentially playoff games and top relievers will come out early. We don't expect either starter to be forced to face the opposing lineup a 3rd time through unless they're rolling.
9:38PM EST: Rockies ML +100 (2 Units).
COL SP Ryan Feltner has a 2.6 ERA over his last 6 starts. Even when struggling early this season he's been solid on the road, posting a 4.16 ERA in 12 starts. He's allowed just 7 runs combined in his last 6 road starts combined. LA's offense isn't great and manage just 1 run against Colorado last night. LAA SP Carson Fulmer isn't really a starter. He's a longtime reliever and making his 4th consecutive start. He's allowed 3ER in back-to-back starts and there's questions just how stretched out that arm is. He had the All-Star break in between his 1st and 2nd start but this will be his 3rd straight as part of a regular rotation. Both bullpens rank towards the bottom but Colorado's top half has been lights out the past couple weeks. They've found their Closer in Victor Vodnik while LA just traded theirs.
