7:05PM EST: TB/NYY Under 8 (2 Units) ✅
TB SP Zach Eflin has a 3.99 ERA this season and has allowed just 1 ER in 2 starts (13 IP) vs the Yankees this year. Going back to last year he's allowed just 3ER in his last 4 starts combined (25 IP) to the Yankees. NYY SP Gerrit Cole found his footing in his most recent start, holding the Orioles to 1 run across 6 innings. He's also held Tampa Bay to 3 combined in his last 2 starts against them (14.2 IP). TB ranks 19th and NYY 20th in OPS in July. Both bullpens are fully loaded after the break, and you never want to go too long without getting relievers some work. High leverage arms are ready, waiting, and in need of work.
7:07PM EST: Tigers ML +105 (3 Units) ✅
DET SP Jack Flaherty has a 3.13 ERA this season and a 2.23 ERA over his last 7 starts. He has a 2.81 ERA on the road and that's despite allowing 5ER in his most recent one. He's allowed 2ER or less in all but 2 road starts this season. TOR SP Chris Bassitt is having a great season, but he's fluttered of late, posting a 6.3 ERA in 2 July starts. He’s allowed 7 ER across 10 IP on 13 hits and 9 walks. Detroit ranks 1st in OPS in the Month of July.
7:10PM EST: SD/CLE Under 7.5 (4 Units) ✅
Knuckleballer Matt Waldron starts for SD. He has a 3.13 ERA in 10 road starts and that's in part due to weather. The Knuckleball plays much better in colder climates and it's a colder night for Mid July with low 70° temps throughout this game. He's also gone 6+ in 3 of his last 4 road starts. CLE SP Tanner Bibee gave up 4 runs on 5 hits over 7 IP to Detroit his last time out but generally pitched well. Overall, he has a 3.08 ERA over his last 11 starts. Cleveland also has the best bullpen in baseball and they're fresh. SD ranks 28th and CLE 27th in OPS in the Month of July.
8:05PM EST: BAL/TEX Under 7.5 (2 Units) ❌
BAL SP Corbin Burnes has the 3rd best ERA in baseball and Eovaldi's would rank 12th but if he qualified but he's 1 out shy of it. Eovaldi also has a 1.99 ERA in 10 Home Starts. Burnes did pitch in the All-Star game, but his last regular season start was on July 19th. Would have thrown as part of regular arm maintenance anyway. Texas failed to score more than 4 runs in any of their last 4 games going into the break, combining for just 11 over that span. The Orioles offense has been Ice Cold and ranks 26th in OPS in the Month of July and are tied for last in runs per game. Also, fully loaded fresh bullpens.
8:40PM EST: Rockies ML +125 (3 Units) ✅
COL SP Cal Quantrill has yet to allow more than 3 Runs, be it earned or unearned in any of his Home Starts at Coors Field this season. It's quite the accomplishment considering it's the most hitter friendly ballpark in baseball and has been for some time. The Giants offense ranks 23rd in OPS in July and scored 3 or less in 3 of their last 4 games. SF SP Kyle Harrison has a 4.36 ERA on the road. He allowed 3 runs over 5IP at Home to the Rockies the last time he faced them. The Rockies have also scored 6 or more in 4 of their last 6 games and each one played on the road where they tend to struggle.
