5 Picks.
3:45PM EST: Giants ML -115 (3 Units).
Logan Webb has a 1.71 ERA at Home and has been dominant at Giants stadium his entire career. Half of his Home starts this year have been scoreless outings. Lefty Framber Valdez takes the mound for Houston. He's coming off a complete game against the Angels, a taxing outing. He's on regular rest and SF is considerably stronger against LHP than they are against RHP.
6:35PM EST: Orioles ML -125 (3 Units).
ATL SP Spencer Schwellenbach made the MLB jump from Double A without ever recording a Triple A start. He allowed 3 Runs over 5IP at Home in his debut and then got blasted for 6 runs over 4.2IP at Boston in his 2nd. He's not an MLB ready pitcher and Baltimore is red hot, averaging just under 6 runs per game with an .860 OPS in the Month of June. Cade Povich starts for BAL. He experienced some tough luck in his MLB debut, posting 3.7 xERA in that start. He allowed 1ER or less in 7 of his 11 Triple A starts and 3ER or less in 3 others. The Braves offense was shutout yesterday and has scored just 14 combined runs in their last 6 games. They have a .196 BA and .589 OPS over the last week. BAL's bullpen has a .44 ERA in 13 games since May 29th.
6:40PM EST: Nationals ML +105 (5 Units).
WSH SP Jake Irvin has a 2.18 ERA over his last 7 starts and a 2.68 ERA on the road this season. Detroit's hitting .194 (30th) with a .576 OPS (29th) in the Month of June. DET SP Reese Olson has been as good as any when he's on, but he's struggled, allowing 5 and 8 ER in his 2 June starts, good for a 12.54 ERA. His most recent stare came at Home. Washington's won 4 straight, 3 against Atlanta and a come from behind win against these Tigers yesterday. Detroit's lost 4 of their last 5.
8:10PM: Royals ML +130 (3 Units).
NYY Starter Cody Poteet has a 1.72 era but an xERA of 5.47. He had a 4.05 ERA at Triple A before being called up to fill in for an injured Clarke Schmidt. He's no MLB pitcher and his luck's going to run out. The Royals bats have struggled against Elite Yankees pitching in this series so far, but they hit .270 (1st) with a .780 OPS (3rd) at Home this year. They scored 23 combined runs (3 Games) in their last Home series, and we trust them to breakout today. KC is going bullpen day and it's an average pen, but their top arms are freshly rested having lost the first 2 games of this set.
10:10PM: Rangers ML +150 (3 Units).
TEX SP Jon Gray has a 2.12 ERA in 12 games (10 starts) this year. 5 of the 14 earned runs he's allowed this year came in his very first start of the season. He did have a brief IL sting with groin tightness but he came back last week in a relief appearance and tossed 2.1 scoreless innings. The Rangers top 4 relievers have all had at least 2 days off. Texas likely goes to the pen before he sees this talented lineup for the 3rd time and they're prepared for that. LAD SP Walker Buehler has yet to return to form. He has a 4.82 ERA in 6 starts and lasted just 3 innings against Pittsburgh in his most recent. He had 1 scoreless outing but he's allowed 3ER in each of his other 5 starts.
