Each of the first 2 games of this series have gone over. Starting pitchers have combined to allow 15 runs in those 2 games. Yu Darvish allowing 1 Run on 7 IP is the only good starting performance. The Padres bullpen has allowed 2 ER on 6.2 IP this series. The Dodgers bullpen tossed 6 scoreless in Game 1 but allowed 6 runs on 3.2 IP in Game 2. They put out some of their lesser arms at the end of the game and the Padres took advantage. Both teams possess elite relief options and there's no need to save them. These two do play again tomorrow but they'll have off on Thursday before a potential game 5 on Friday. Every reliever capable of pitching in all 3 games the rest of the way.

Just need some decent starting pitching to keep this total down. Walker Buehler came off the IL on August 14th and has made 8 starts since. He labored a bit early, but he's pitched well of late, allowing 1ER in 2 of his last 3 starts, including one against SD. Padres SP Michael King's among the best in baseball with a 2.15 ERA in 11 starts since the All-Star Break. He also fired 7 shutout innings against Atlanta with 12 strikeouts last week in his first career post-season start. They'll both be backed by some very good relievers today in a pivotal game 3.
