Both starters have been pitching well but both of their final regular season starts came against one another. Quintana gave up a couple runs on 4.1 IP in Milwaukee last week. He's better equipped for the back-to-back just from experience alone but it's tough for any starter. Myers tossed 4 scoreless innings but he's a rookie and has struggled in his 2nd start against teams this year. He made 1 back-to-back this year and it came against Arizona. He needed 93 pitched to complete 4 innings in the 2nd start. Going to be a short leash for these starters in a winner take all. With relievers having to face a minimum of 3 batters it opens the door for big half innings. There's a lot of pressure on whoever's on the mound. Likely going to see some 10 different pitchers out there. Their first 2 games have gone over with 1 single reliever allowing at least 3 runs in each game.
