8:08PM: LAD/NYM Under 7.5 (3 Units). LAD SP Walker Buehler gave up 6 runs on 5 IP in his one playoff start this year. He's battled consistency issues since coming off the IL midway through August. He did finish the season with a few solid starts. He allowed 1 run on 5 IP against the Padres in his final regular season start and that's who he saw in the NLDS. There weren’t many good starts in that series with most pitchers going back-to-back. We like Buehler to rebound here. He has a 3.4 ERA in 16 career playoff starts. He won't be overwhelmed by the moment, and this isn't some elite offense. He also hasn't made a start against the Mets since 2022. He's allowed more than 3 ER in consecutive starts just once in his entire career and it came back in 2018.
NYM SP Luis Severino has been good, not great. He's allowed 3 ER on 6 IP in each of his first 2 playoff starts but both of those came on the road. Sevy had a 2.96 ERA in 16 regular season starts at Home this season compared to a 5.0 ERA on the road. He hasn't made a start against the Dodgers this year either. in 108 career plate appearances vs Severino the current Dodgers roster is hitting .235 with a .317 wOBA.
