MLB
2 Picks.
4:08PM: Mets ML +120 (3 Units). At the top of his game Sean Manaea's one of the toughest lefties in the game and he's pitched like it in his first 2 post-season starts. He allowed 2ER on 5 IP in his wildcard start at Milwaukee and followed that up with 7 innings of 1 run ball vs PHI. He went into LA earlier this year and allowed 2 runs on 5 IP. Ohtani, Freeman, and Muncy all have worst splits vs LHP. The Dodgers open with Ryan Brasier but they'll patch it together today. It's a bullpen that threw a lot in the division series. If the Mets get out ahead the Dodgers won't roll out their best arms with 3 straight games in New York starting Wednesday.
7:38PM EST: CLE/NYY Under 7.5 (2U).
CLE SP Alex Cobb gave up a couple runs on 3 IP on a short leash against Detroit in the Divisional round, but it was his first start back from a blister issue. He's a veteran sub 4 ERA pitcher that should handle going into the Bronx just fine. He's also backed by the best bullpen in baseball that's had 2 of the last 3 days off. NYY SP Carlos Rodon was rolling through 3 against KC in his first Yankees playoff start but it came unraveled in the 4th. He got caught up in the moment and the crowd a bit too early. Can see he ran out of juice. His stuff was very sharp early on and that's been the theme. He finished the regular season with a 2.2 ERA in 5 September starts. He's emphasized being more even keel throughout this start. Like him to rebound here against a Guardians roster that's batting just .210 in 71 career plate appearances against him.
