Home teams are 62-66 in winner take all games in post-season history. During the regular season the Padres went 8-5 against the Dodgers and split 3-3 in LA. They've also won Game 2 in this series and that was in LA. Playing at Home is certainly some advantage for the Dodgers but it's not some insurmountable feet.

Yu Darvish starts for San Diego. He started and recorded the win in Game 2 of this series allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks across 7 IP. In his last 6 post-season starts he has a 2.59 ERA. He's the man you want out there and he doesn't need to pitch long. Ideally, he goes 5 innings before passing it off to the 4 closer worthy Padres relievers. It's the same way they won Game 5. Michael King allowed 5 runs but went 5 innings before exiting with a 6-5 lead. They would win that game 6-5.

The Dodgers have yet to get a good outing from a starting pitcher. Tonight's starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto gave up 5 ER on 3 IP at Home in Game 1 of this series, Flaherty 4 ER on 5.1 IP in G2, and Buehler 6 ER on 5 IP in G3. They also went full bullpen day game 4. It's a Pen that's pitched well but they're up to 21.1 IP and 4 of their top guys have pitched in 3 separate games this series. The Padres have gotten a good look at them.
