MIN SP Joe Ryan has allowed more than 3ER just twice this entire season and one of those starts came in Houston his last time out. He's allowed 3ER or more in back-to-back starts just once in his entire career (73 starts) and we like him to rebound today. Minnesota just got smoked by the Yankees, so their top relievers are heavily rested and they've nearly untouchable the past few weeks. PIT SP Mitch Keller has allowing just 5 runs combined over his last 5 starts (33.2 IP) and the Pirates top relievers got the night off yesterday in a blowout loss to the Dodgers.

9:40PM EST: D-Backs ML +105 (2 Units)

.ARI SP Brandon Pfaadt hasn't been as sharp over his last 2 starts but he's been a bit unfortunate. He's allowed 11 hits and 3 walks with just 1 HR over his last 2 starts (13IP) but has surrendered 8ER. He hadn't allowed more than 3ER in either of his 7 previous starts, pitching to a 3.09 ERA over that span. He's historically better on the road and he faces a scuffling Padres team that's lost 5 straight games, scoring just 11 runs in the process.

SD SP Michael King has battled consistency issues all season long. He's made a couple good starts back-to-back but has a 5.06 ERA at Home. This is also the D-Backs second look at him this season. He threw 105 pitches in his most recent start, and it was his 3rd time going over 100 this season. King was a longtime reliever and just returned to a starters role for the Yankees at the end of last season. He gave up 6 runs over 3.2 IP following a start he threw 109 pitches and another 6 runs following a start after throwing 106. He may be dealing with some fatigue tonight. Either way the Diamondbacks bats have been productive, averaging over 6 runs per game over their last 7 games and scoring 4 or more in all but one of them (3).
