FOLLOW THE UNIT INSTRUCTIONS
We're going to be taking it a bit slower than usual the final few weeks of the regular season here. We do this every year. With the expanded rosters and half these teams pretty much eliminated from contention it's a very unpredictable time of year. Once the MLB playoffs hit we'll be firing away just about everyday. Last season we made over 35 Units in the MLB playoffs alone.
It's been back and forth lately but a very successful season nonetheless. Those who have placed every MLPC wager this year are currently up 125.4 Units. At just $100 per Unit that's $12,240. As consistent as we've been all season, this is still sports betting. It's not always a smooth ride despite our success. There will be enough bases, MLB schedules the end of the year to be chaotic and meaningful. That's just about underway.
7:05PM Eastern: Orioles ML +105 (3 Units)
This is game 3 of a 4 game set between the Rays and Orioles. Tampa has taken the first two. Two good pitchers on the mound again today but Baltimore has the fresher bullpen. Tampa won last night's game 7 to 1 and it got out of hand before Baltimore could roll out their top relievers. 2 Days ago Kyle Bradish pitched 7 innings so Baltimore only needed 2 innings from their bullpen in game 1. This is the 2nd best bullpen in baseball and it's fully loaded in arguably the biggest game of the season.
Tampa Bay starts Tyler Glasnow. He has a 3.48 ERA on the road and making his first start in Baltimore this season. In 2 home starts against BAL he's allowed 9 runs over 11.1 Innings Pitched. He gave up 4 runs in Minnesota his last time out. He also allowed 3 ER and 4 ER in the 2 road starts leading up to MIN.
Rookie Grayson Rodriguez starts for BAL. We've backed him plenty since his second call up and Baltimore's defense didn't do him many favors last time. He went just 4.1 IP allowing 4 Runs, but just 2 of them were earned. We lost on Baltimore that day against Boston by a score of 7-3. 5 of Boston's runs came unearned that day.
Grayson's pitched extremely well since he got called up for the 2nd time and he's already faced Tampa Bay twice this season. He allowed 2 ER over 5.2 IP in both starts. It's unlikely he's asked to go much deeper than 5 innings in this game with Baltimore's fully loaded bullpen. Once he goes 2 times through the lineup you can expect Baltimore to use some relievers.
This game determines first place in the AL East tonight and we think the young Baltimore squad is up to the task. Losing 3 straight at Home isn't something Baltimore has done much of this season. Playoff atmosphere at Camden yards tonight.
