Kansas is the better team at home and in a revenge spot. Prior to a strong win over Kentucky the Jayhawks dropped 3 straight games, starting with an 83-82 OT loss at Kansas State. Foul trouble was a major issue for Kansas as 3 starters fouled out. With such a weak bench it’s incredible they didn’t lose by more. Per usual HC Bill Self righted the ship. Picking up an impressive 77-68 win over Kentucky. The Wildcats are big and one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, yet Kansas outrebounded them 31-26. They allowed just 2 offensive rebounds despite the Wildcats averaging 12.5. Whatever Bill Self told his guys, it lit a fire.

Now they’re back at home against in state rival Kansas State with a chance to knock them off the top of the Big 12. A team they just lost to. That fire is going to remain lit. They actually outshot Kansas State in their first meeting from the floor but couldn’t connect from deep. Hitting just 6 of 29 (20.7%) 3-Point attempts. They shoot 35.8% on the year from deep.
