The Jaguars run defense ranks in the middle of the pack this season but they’re out a couple key defenders in their front 7. 1st overall pick Travon Walker is out for his 2nd straight game and starting DE Foley Fatukasi is also ruled out, two + run defenders. The Jets offense also goes through the ground, even more with Zach Wilson starting at QB. Bam struggled last week against a newfound elite Lions run defense and that’s brought this prop down for us. In his other 3 starts this season, Knight’s averaging 5 yards per carry and has gone over this prop every time. On a cold wet windy day with Zach Wilson at the helm, expect plenty of opportunities for Bam to go over this prop.
Jaguars Player Prop: Travis Etienne Over 13.5 receiving yards.
Jacksonville is going to struggle to both run the football and push the ball down field. Jacksonville just lost their starting LT Cam Robinson to the season and center Luke Forntner is one of the worst blocking centers in all of football. The Jets star DT Quinnen Williams didn’t play last week but he will tonight. He has 11 sacks on the year and has made a fool of even the best interior offensive lineman all season. The Bills center Mitch Morse was just named to the Pro Bowl, he’s allowed 0 sacks to every player not named Quinnen Williams. In 2 starts vs the NYJ, Williams had a sack against him in each game. The Jets also feature one of the best corner duos in the league with Sauce Gardner and DJ Reed. It’s going to be difficult for a Jacksonville receiving corps that’s headlined by Christian Kirk to get open. Even Stefon Diggs has struggled vs the NYJ. With little time to throw against one of the NFL’s best pass rushes and receivers covered down the field, Etienne will see plenty of short dump off opportunities. Same thing happened for the Lions last week as Jared Goff targeted his running backs 12 times in NY. Etienne went over this receiving prop last week too.
