8:15PM EST: (DAL) Jake Ferguson Over 35.5 Rec Yards (2 Units)
For starters Dak has been lighting it up through the air the last 6 weeks. He's averaging 312.3 passing yards per game during that span. In the 3 Home games that bumps up to 346.3. Seattle's defense ranks 22nd in passing yards per game. They also rank 22nd in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to Tight Ends per game.
Ferguson hasn't had a ton of receiving yards in recent weeks, but he's had tough matchups. He's faced the 6th, 8th, and 12th best defenses in TE Receiving Yards allowed per game. Seattle is a heavy zone coverage team and utilizes a ton of Cover-3. Dak loves to hit Ferguson up the seam, leaving it high for the big fella to come down with. That's one of the best ways to attack a Cover 3 defense. Over the linebackers’ heads and in front of the safety.
Then there's the Jamal Adams mismatch. It's one we expect McCarthy and the Cowboys to exploit with Ferguson and both Pollard and Tolbert. Adams is a great downhill box safety. He's pretty much a smaller linebacker. He does not cover well and he's going to have too today. Dallas has the horses to spread the defense out with 3 and even 4 WR sets. They also use their backs in 5 wide sets. Adams isn't covering any WR and if they're in a match-zone or man defense, Dallas is going at him. He's the weakest cover man in their secondary.
