Gridiron Player Club NFL 1-2 Units (10/6/24)

NFL

2 Picks.

1:00PM: Jaguars -3.5 (2 Units).

Anthony Richardson's doubtful so it's Joe Flacco that's set to start. He's not a terrible backup but he's immobile and Richardson's legs had a lot to do with making this Colts offense go. They're also without RB Jonathon Taylor. The Jaguars are on a 9 game Home win streak against the Colts. They haven't lost to the Colts at Home since 2014. Indy's defense has been lackluster, and they've had an easy schedule thus far. They've played Houston Week 1 and gave up 29 points, but they faced the Packers without Love in Week 2, the Bears in Week 3, and then the Steelers last week. At 0-4 the Jaguars are in need of a win in the worst way. Outside of that Bills beatdown they've competed in every game this year. A depleted Colts team at Home is the ideal spot for it.

1:00PM: Bengals +2.5 (2 Units).

The Bengals offense struggled in Week 1, but they've averaged more than 30 PPG in their last 3, scoring 25 or more in each. The Ravens are coming off a dominant win over Buffalo and that's driven this line to where it is, but this is a division game. The Ravens defense gave up 25 or more in each of their first 3 games. They turned in a good one at Home last week but they're back on the road today. They lost their DC to Seattle in the off-season and there's still some underlying issues. The Bengals are 3-1 straight up in their last 4 Home games vs BAL and they've scored 24 or more in all 4. This will be a competitive game.

4:25PM EST: Seahawks -7 (2 Units). Seattle took their first loss of the season in Detroit last week, giving up 42 points. Their defense had been playing well against lesser competition going into it. They were without 4 starters along their front 7 but they're set to get 3 of the 4 back this week. Their defense was a bit overrated going into that Detroit game but when healthy they're much better than they showed. The Giants offense flat out stinks. Daniel Jones can't push the ball down field, and they don't run too well. To make matters worse they're without rookie standout WR Malik Nabers and starting RB Devin Singletary. Nabers was practically their entire offense. With Seattle at home this should be another ugly performance for the Giants offense. The Seahawks offense hasn't skipped a beat this year, scoring 23 or more in all 4 games. Much more explosive on offense with a healthy Kenneth Walker and he'll be out there today.
