Friday night NBA is back and WinMyBets provides you with a free pick on the late-night ESPN game between the Denver Nuggets and defending champion Golden State Warriors. Tip off is scheduled for 10:00p.m. eastern time at Chase Center.
Denver Nuggets (0-1)
Denver lost the season opener handedly to the Utah Jazz by a score of 102-123 despite being favored by 7 points (WinMyBets cashed in on the Jazz +7). Their defense came out sluggish, letting up 75 first half points. Utah finished the day 50.6% from the field and 42.1% from deep. Offensively Jokic did his thing, scoring 27 points on 12-17 shooting to go along with 6 assists. Jamaal Murray was uninspiring in his return from injury, shooting 5-13 with 3 turnovers. Denver finished the day just 5/22 from deep and turned the ball over 21 times.
Golden State Warriors (1-0)
The defending champs picked up where they left off, beating LeBron and the Lakers by a score of 123-109. Curry put up 33, 10-22 FG and 4-13 3PT. Andrew Wiggins played very well, finishing the night with 20 points, making 4 of his 7 3 points attempts. He also had 6 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal, and a block in his 29 minutes. Klay Thompson added 18 points and Jordan Poole led the bench with 12 points. Draymond Green was quiet, scoring 4 points but he did manage 5 assists and 5 boards.

The Pick
Golden State Warriors -4.5. This Warriors team just looks more in sync than the Denver Nuggets on the young season. Denver’s defense has some work to do after allowing 75 points in the first half to the Utah Jazz. Denver’s Jamaal Murray is still working out some rust, he shot 5-13 from the field last week with 3 turnovers. Denver also shot just 5-22 from 3 and it won’t get much easier against a Golden State perimeter defense that ranked 3rd in 3PT FG allowed in 2021-22. Will be tough to keep up with the potent Warriors offense scoring 2’s. These two teams met in the playoffs last year and Golden State took care of business winning the series 4-1. The Warriors are 5-2 ATS L7 meetings vs Denver and 8-3 ATS last 11 in Golden State. The Warriors are also 40-19-1 ATS their last 60 home games.
WinMyBets NBA Pick: GS Warriors -4.5
