Injuries headline this match-up but the 2 best will take the floor in Jokic and Durant. For Denver, Jamaal Murray and Alex Gordon are listed as questionable while Phoenix has both Bradley Beal and Devin Booker listed as out. For the Suns it's just too much to overcome. Even if Denver is without both Murray and Gordon, Michael Porter Jr fills in just fine offensively. Jokic elevates those around him in a way not many others can. Getting Murray and or Gordon is just a bonus and likely to make Denver much larger favorites than they are now so be sure to lock in. Murray did play in their last game against the Rockets and Denver is 7-1 with him on the floor.
The Nuggets are the deeper team with much more quality depth. They've dealt with their fair share of injuries this year and are still 13-6. Phoenix on the other hand lost depth and valuable pieces when they acquired Bradley Beal. They traded away Chris Paul and that type of floor general would come in handy when running with the 2's. The Joker's also shredded Nurkic the last few times they've played. He's combined for 98 points, 27 rebounds, and 30 assists. He didn't score less than 29 points in any 3 of those games. No Booker and Beal just too much for Phoenix to overcome.
