Bryant's a mediocre basketball program, ranking 179th per KenPom with offensive and defensive ratings of 181 and 184. They do, however, play fast, ranking 7th in Adjusted Tempo. They finished 3rd last season and 15th the season before that. St. John's is actively trying to run the floor and will happily enter a track meet against lowly Bryant. Be it St. John's or Iona, the last 4 Rick Pitino led basketball teams make getting out in a transition a point of emphasis. They're also aggressive on defense, ranking 48th in opponent turnovers per game at 14.8. Bryant ranks all the way down at 245th in turnovers per game at 13.1. This game should be a track meet and Bryant's not going to slow down once they fall behind big. St. John's also has a depth luxury so even with starters looking at reduced minutes their scoring pace should continue. The fact that St. John's doesn't play again until Tuesday also matters.
