Purdue's defense is wreaking havoc on teams right now as HC Matt Painter has done a tremendous job adjusting the scheme to fit his players. Going back, they've forced 22 turnovers vs Michigan, 18 vs Ohio State, 16 at Oregon, 17 at Washington, 17 vs Nebraska, and 15 vs Rutgers. Those are best in the nation type numbers. Indiana's 209th in turnovers per game at 12.2 but that jumps to 13.9 on the road. With the increased pressure on defense Purdue's also playing at a much quicker pace, another reason we're more comfortable laying the points here. Indiana operates at an above average pace, ranking 107th in Adjusted Tempo. Purdue has every major edge outside of rebounding, but they just went toe-to-toe with one of the best rebounding teams in the Country. Indiana's lost at Gonzaga by 16, by 17 at Nebraska, by 25 at Iowa, and even by 9 at Northwestern. There are some major road woes for the Hoosiers, and this is one of the strongest Home Courts in the Nation. Purdue also beat Indiana by 20+ both times last year.
