NCAAB

2 Picks (7 Units).

7PM: Kansas/Iowa State Under 143.5 (4 Units).

Iowa State's been elite defensively for years, but Kansas has been better this season, ranking 4th in defensive rating. They'll need that defense to compete in a tough road environment. Iowa State's 10th in defensive rating and 11th in points allowed per game at Home. Kansas is just 31st in offensive rating and they've struggled outside Allen Fieldhouse. Their most recent road trip was a 54-40 win over Cincinnati after smoking a bad UCF defense 99-48 the away game before that. They lost the 2 road games leading up to that scoring just 67 and 63 at Missouri and Creighton. Neither one of those 2 are elite defensively. Cinci's eerily similar to Iowa State on defense (9th DRtg) but they operate at a much slower pace. Neither one of these teams are elite 3-PT shooting teams, ranking 218th and 138th in 3-PT %. Kansas has Hunter Dickinson protecting the rim and Iowa State has length all over. Neither team fouls much, ranking 6th and 18th in fouls per possession and 8th and 30th in fouls per game. Will need some very efficient scoring or uncharacteristic 3-PT shooting to drive this over the total.

8PM: Houston -15.5 (3 Units).

Going to be very difficult for West Virginia to find consistent points. They're ranked 40th overall, 76th in offensive rating, and 21st in defensive rating. Houston's ranked 3rd, 13th, and 1st. Houston's also first in points allowed per game at Home. WVU is 252nd in FG% and 140th in 3-PT %. WVU struggles to get to the rim, which is why they're 29th in 3-PT rate. Houston's 316th in opponent 3-PT Rate but they're 24th in opponent 3-PT %. They're also first in opponent 2-PT %. They don't let you get to the rim and don't give up clean looks from the outside. Houston's also the 2nd best 3-PT shooting team in the nation but they're only 271st in 3-PT Rate. WVU defends the 3-PT Line well but it's not a big issue here. West Virginia's offensive SOS only ranks 82nd and they have yet to play a truly elite offense on the road. It's a big number to lay against a somewhat decent WVU team but this is a bad spot for the Mountaineers.
