Very similar spot to our Marquette blowout Winner at Home over the Boilermakers a couple weeks back. Like Marquette, Penn State is very aggressive on the defensive side of the ball. They're currently ranked 5th in turnovers forced per game after ranking 23rd last season. They'll drop a bit as the schedule gets tougher but that's their brand of basketball. Purdue's had some turnover issues and really struggled on the road against Marquette's defense. Aggressive defenses thrive at Home and the Lions are no exception, forcing 16.4 turnovers per game at Home last season compared to just 13 on the Road. After losing Zach Edey to the NBA and his replacement to injury, Purdue also plays small. Penn State has a serious advantage at the rim with their 7 Foot Forward. The NIU transfers their 2nd leading scorer and arguably most important piece through the early going. Penn State's had an easy SOS thus far, but they battled a good Clemson team on a neutral site, taking a 4-point game into the final minute. That's a strong Tigers defense that ranks 16th in Adj D. Purdue's ranked just 52nd in Adj D.
