2 Picks (5 Units).
7:00PM EST: Villanova -16 (2 Units).
Like this spot for the Wildcats. Nova's off to an ugly start and sitting at 2-3 following a couple road losses. They return home today to face a Penn team that's also on the struggle bus. Penn's 2-2 with wins over Maryland Eastern Shore and NJIT. Those two rank 360th and 361st in KenPom's rankings and Penn beat them by a combined 4 points. They got blown out 69-86 at Home against a St. Joe's team that Nova went toe to toe with playing on the road. Penn's other loss came to the 269th ranked Lafayette. The Kyle Neptune era has been very disappointing for Nova but there's still a ton of talent on this roster. They have one of the strongest home court advantages in the Nation and they're out for revenge after losing to Penn on the road last year.
9:00PM EST: Marquette -5 (3 Units).
Purdue did a good job cleaning things up offensively at Home against Alabama their last time out. They had just 3 turnovers the entire game after posting 39 through their first 3 combined. That just isn't Bama's game though. They're ranked 319th in opponent turnovers per game and ranked 215th last season. Marquette's ranked 17th this year and were 22nd last year. Under HC Shaka Smart they've been a high-pressure defense that plays extremely well at Home. Marquette's also coming off a strong showing at Maryland. The Terps are one of the stronger defensive teams in the Nation and despite playing in their house the Golden Eagles had success. Purdue's considerably worse than Maryland is defensively but much much stronger on offense. Marquette should be able to steal enough possessions to cover the number.
