2 Pick (7 Units).
6:30PM: Baylor/UConn Under 144.5 (4 Units).
Both teams have been stronger offensively, but they operate slowly. They've been sped up by aggressive teams but that's not each other's game. Baylor ranks 291st and UConn 294th in Adjusted Tempo. They were 282nd and 330th last season so this isn't anything new. We like the Huskies defense to play well tonight and dictate flow. They ranked 7th and 4th in defensive rating each of the last two seasons. Dan Hurley knows how to coach defense and despite ranking 84th in defensive rating, they're 42nd limiting teams to 39% from the Field. They're also playing at Home where they held teams below 60 points per game last year. This will be Baylor's first true road game of the season as they've only traveled for neutral site games. Baylor's defense struggles to defense size but Donovan Clingan's off to the NBA. UConn employs a pair of 6'10 centers, but they aren't the scoring threats of a Clingan or Sanogo in year's past.
7:15PM: ALA/UNC Over 175.5 (3 Units).
This total's high and it's because Alabama ranks 4th and UNC is 10th in adjusted Tempo. They're ranked 3rd and 6th in offensive rating and both rank outside the top 50 in defensive. They also have the 9th and 10th ranked strength of schedule so they're doing it against good competition. Bama's 4-1 to the Over against Power 5 opponents and UNC is 6-1 to the Over on the year. The Tide are averaging more than 90 points per game over their last 4 (all vs Power 5) and UNC's scored at least 87 in all but one game this year. Even if they don't shoot great these two rank 246th and 311th in fouls per game. With all the extra possessions there's going to be plenty of free throws attempted.
