Xavier's off and running lately and a big reason they've cashed 8 straight Overs. They've scored less than 74 points at Home just once this season and it was against Houston on December 1st, the #1 defense in CBB. Going back at Home in Conference Play they've beaten St. John's 88-77, W vs Georgetown 92-91, W vs Butler 85-71, L vs UConn 75-80, W vs Seton Hall 74-54. They really push the tempo and pace of play at Home.
Offensively Villanova got off to a sluggish start this year but they've turned the corner. They're 55th in Adj O now but the Xavier defense ranks 42nd in Adj D and had allowed 77 or more in 4 straight games before "holding" Depaul to 68. Nova beat a really good Providence defense 68-50 in a grind it out style of game but scored 80 and 81 the two games prior. Their most recent road trip was an 81-88 Loss @ Butler. Butler is another team that likes to push the tempo and Villanova struggled defending it. Xavier gets out in transition the 4th most of any team in CBB and Villanova's 290th in PPP transition defense.
