Marquette is a very, very good basketball team but they lack interior Size. It was their achilles heel last year and not much has changed. Oso Ighodaro is their starting Big and he's a good one but UCLA starts Adem Bona. He may be an inch shorter than Oso but he's much more physically impending. UCLA also gives regular minutes to Kenneth Nwubu who's 6'10, 255, and also Freshman Center Aday Mara who's 7'3, 240. The only other Big Marqutte has is Sophmore Forward Ben Gold.
We fully expect UCLA to play Bigger than they have in their first 3 games too. It's a clear advantage that they possess and it's going to be a grind to score inside for Marquette. They can certainly hit some outside shots but they'll need to have a very good day to cover this number. The size advantage should provide UCLA with some easy putback opportunities on offense as well.
Wouldn't surprise us to see UCLA win outright but they should be able to hang around against the #4 team in the country. This games also being played in Hawaii and at 10:30pm local time for Marquette. Hell of a trip for a Big East team in Wisconsin. UCLA on the other hand see's a normal 8:30 local time start and a much shorter trip to get there.
